Route optimisation

Delivery route optimisation for distributors, on real roads

A delivery executive who visits stops in upload order drives further than they need to. DFIE works out the shortest road route for every delivery assignment and shows the plan beside what actually happened.

The shortest order to visit every shop

When a Delivery Executive accepts an assignment, DFIE calculates the order of stops with the least road distance, from the godown and back, and their delivery list follows it. Several bills for the same shop count as one stop.

Planned route vs. actual trail, on the live map

While the Delivery Executive is out, the live map draws the planned road route through every stop, with their real GPS trail on top and distance covered against the plan.

Deliveries checked against the customer’s location

Geo Fencing can warn about or block a delivery confirmed too far from the customer’s registered location, and a new customer’s location confirms itself once enough real deliveries agree.

Common questions

Is the route calculated on real roads?

Yes. Both the stop order and the distance are calculated on the road network, not as straight lines.

Does the delivery executive have to follow the order?

No. The list follows the optimised order, but they can deliver in any order the day demands.

What if a customer has no location yet?

They are listed after the located stops. Their location is confirmed automatically once enough real deliveries agree.
