Field collection discipline
Collect beat by beat, and know why an outlet was missed
A Sales Executive who collects credit can work one customer beat at a time, in a sensible order, and a minimum-visits rule makes sure a missed outlet always comes with a reason.
A beat filter on the outstanding list
Beside the Overdue, Due today and Upcoming chips, the outstanding list has a Customer beat filter. Choose a beat and the list shows that beat’s customers, each next one the nearest to the one before, starting from where the executive is standing. Customers without a map position come last.
- Nearest-first order is by map position (straight-line, not road distance)
- A Delivery Executive’s list is ordered by nearness to the outlets on his delivery assignment
- A Delivery Executive set to collect only against his delivery customers has no outstanding list at all
A minimum number of collection visits
In the company’s Collection Rules, Admin sets the minimum number of outlets a Sales Executive must visit on a beat. It is per company, and blank or zero means no check.
A reason for every outlet not visited
When the Sales Executive ends the visit on a beat and fewer outlets than the minimum were visited, DFIE asks for a reason for each outlet not visited, from a list Admin keeps, and then saves the end of the visit. A beat with fewer outlets than the minimum is let through, and with nothing collected the visit simply ends.
- A visit counts when it is saved on the outlet, under that company’s own collection rules
- The reasons are stored against each outlet for later review
