Works offline

Collection visits that keep working when the signal does not

Lanes and basements do not have network. DFIE’s apps keep recording visits and payments on the phone, and send each one once the signal is back.

Saved on the phone, sent once

A visit or payment made offline is stored on the phone, and survives a closed app or a reload. When the network returns it is sent automatically, or at the tap of Send now. Each one carries its own identity, so a retry never records the same payment twice.

The list stays readable

The last outstanding list, the company rules and the banks are kept on the phone, so the list and the visit form still open. The list says what time it is as of, and money saved but not yet sent is counted against the bill so the same rupees cannot be entered twice.

What still needs a signal

A visit that needs the customer’s OTP or a location check cannot be saved offline, and DFIE says so. Day-end, deposits and shortage reports also need a connection. Anything the server does not accept stays on the phone with the reason, until the collector discards it.
